The "true ISOs" on the 7D and 5D have less noise than their "electronic" counterparts- ie 160, 320, 640, 1250, 1600.

This kinda looks promising as a mid-range true GL2 type camera of this generation. Plus one could machine a much better DIY handle for that thing. I'm pretty excited by this camera now.

Yes. I do this myself. My HV20 fell and killed the firewire about two years ago. Blackmagic has worked like a champ. I use Final Cut Pro, but I think you can do it with NeoScene in windows.

That footage looks grrrrrrreat. I'm in for anything up to like $500.

And as a third also to this thread, the A-HD is actually on sale right now at Walgreens for 109.99. I got mine for like $70 just before father's day.
