I'd like to explain a but why:
In the Power Outage Theme, all video were good, but at the same time, all different genre/style: so i requested a specific genre so every video will be in the same category.
Example i take when i wrote to Shig: "someone choose Heroic as the next theme, first user do something like the Cliffhanger parody in Ace Ventura 2 and the other do something like the final of Braveheart...both are EXCELLENT, first one is hilarious and second is oscar winning dramatic, but they are just totally different style."
That's the only reason guys! It'll be just more simple for the judges to decide with factors like " cinematography " " acting " and others similar criteria.
It's funny I mentioned Aliens in my last post on the other thread.
So basically it has to be a an Action/Drama about Aliens? No humor at all?
I like the Aliens theme.

The name of my last entry "Game Over" came from Aliens II. "Game over Man" That section cracks me up everytime I watch it, its a classic. So yeah, humor can be introduced

So when is the deadline? What are the final rules? Where do we post the video or submit it?
Cool theme, but yes we need the rules and deadline, I'm gonna try to get in this one.
1- April 25th
2- Reminder of the Rules:
1) Can't be longer than 5 minutes
2) Shouldn't be rated over PG-13
3) Video should be posted on vimeo official page ONLY, a new one created for this theme and not available until the contest deadline > managed by Shigeta, creator of the official page.
4) The winner can enter the next competition.
5) No use of copyrighted material/songs, user will be disqualified if so.

1. Yes, anyone can enter the competition, I think that rule is just confirming that even if you won last time you can still enter the next competition [I might be wrong].

Actually, I'd loved to make this a comedy but it's against the rules. Really I'm doing this one for the challenge.
OK... so if I was to do a Doctor Who 'mobisode' would that be considered a 'comedy'? Because Doctor Who is a bit of everything really...
It's allowed to have a tad-bit of comedy I think. Actually, following the rules of Action/Drama is going to be hard when you think about it, but I have some ideas. ( :

I'm not sure it was a good idea to limit the genre just yet, as we've not been getting an tonne of entries. However, I get where you are coming from, and you want the judges to be able to compare apples to apples.
I hope to see a bunch of entries this time around!

That's my point, but if people prefer to have the genre removed, it's okay with me...i was just throwing the idea to help the judges.
