Never thought I'd enjoy watching a long string of TV commercials.

But those were all great fun, Mister J. You can turn your hand to all kinds of styles, can't you.

My personal favourites were the Lasol ones. I've come to like that minimalist stylised look, (if that's what it's known as). I didn't take to it the first time I saw it, but Mr Magoo changed my mind.

Oh, I love old commercials. There's a whole load of them on archive.org.

Well, the fly-swatting one was real fun to make - I had complete freedom! No need to adapt to a pre-recorded speaker or sounds - audio was made after the animation.

(And it's the only one Ollie Johnston gave me a spontaneous compliment on: "I like your timing" - that felt good! )

The art director told me: Make it as close as possible to Belgian cartoonist Nitka's style - "plagiarism is the best form of compliment", he said...

That would have to be the understatement of the year, J!!!!! I imagine it felt better than good! More like the best moment of your life, correct?

I had to google Nitka. You definitely captured his style, alright!
