    Default GH2: Color banding

I am interested in purchasing the GH2, but it's a bit of a clunker to discover the color banding issue with skies and maybe other situations. Any opinions re that issue? Wouldn't mind hearing others experience else-wise with the camera too.

I doubt the color banding would be worst than other cameras. There's some on the T2i (with low-contrast color profile like Technicolor) but I doubt it would be that bad straight from the camera.
I'd be curious to hear from GH2 owners though.

I'm shooting a feature on one right now and have not experienced any of those issues.

Well... I take that all with a grain of salt. I would like to see Prometheus shot on hacked GH2s. I am not doubting great images can be made by them under test and real-world conditions.

They dont need to be hacked to produce top class images but regarding that shootout there is a lot more on it here http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread...acuto-shootout obviously any film maker with enough cash would be mad not to use a bigger camera for the job.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1446714/technical i would like a red epic myself[some hope]

Aye. But wait until the executives producers hear about the GH2.
