Default How do I do an intro like this one?

I need to do something like this, just the intro, 8 seconds. I don't need to do exactly like this one, but the genre. In which program?

    Thanks

After Effects, 3D layers, Camera option. Play around and have fun!
As for the "round" Earth effect at the end, I think it's possible to do it in AE, but I don't know how though.

Link 3D layers to a 3D null. You could end up with 4 or 5 separate 3d layers oriented along lines of latitiude, then dupe these layer, rotate the null, paste, etc. Use the alt-shift shortcut to replace footage into each layer. It would take about 10 minutes tops. You'd have 4 or 5 lines of latitude, each with 4 or 5 layers, all parented to a null that can be animated.

Good point Frank. Already played with 3D layers and null but never for something like that. Thanks for the tip!

    Hi guys,

Thanks for your input. Any other program, easier than after effects?

No. That is an advanced technique that is exponentially more difficulty to create than the few seconds it takes to watch. I'm pretty sure AE can handle all that you see there.

Do you know someone with a Mac? It can be done in Motion with a bunch of Behaviors.
Group the pictures in a plane, morph the plane into a sphere, give some rotation and camera movement.
"It is dark the other side. Very dark!" - "Oh, shut up and eat your toast!"

He was asking for a program that is easier to use than AE, so what's your problem?

It was banter hence the emoticon. It won't happen again.

    Just a bit badly placed.

On second though, it probably was created using a 3D software, e.g. Cinema 4D or Autodesk?
