Default Game #435 - Something Wicked This Way Comes

    Game version 1
    One picture from one movie:

    Rule 1:
NO IMAGE HOSTING ON EXTERNAL SERVERS.
Images for the games need to be ATTACHED to the post, and thus uploaded to our server.

    Rule 2:
TWO GUESSES PER PERSON PER POSTED PICTURE!!! Those two guesses are not allowed to be in the same post, NOR in a consecutive post. I.e. you can post one guess, then have to wait for someone else to guess: your second guess is not allowed to be immediately following your first guess.

    Rule 3:
The WINNER of the game can start a new game IN A NEW THREAD.
NO ONE ELSE (unless yielded so by the winner).

    Rule 4:
Once there's a winner, PLEASE post the correct name into the thread (spelled correctly, and capitalized correctly, and not in italics or bold face.)

    Rule 5:
The correct title format is: "Game" / space / "#" / number.
    Example: " Game #12" (without the ")
(no space between the # sign and the number!)

    Rule 6:
The film selected should be one that has had an international, theatrical release.
I.e. a made-for-TV movie only shown in the USA would hardly be a fair entry, as
    we have international players also.

    Rule 7:
These complete rules (1 to 7) have to be copy & pasted into each new game's first post.

No clues yet, just a teaser shot - but the next one will follow shortly.

Note: This movie has been altered to fit your old TV screen (i.e. incorrect aspect ratio in these grabs, the correct ratio is 1:1.85, according to IMDB.)

A clue: This isn't the "usual fare" for the particular production company.

New grab, and a clue: Based on a novel by a "hot" author.

Last grab for tonight - and yes, this flying debris is part of the "action" in this movie... (as in all movies... )

A new clue, too: Test audiences didn't really like the film, so new opening and ending were screenwritten and filmed. Still, the film was not a success, earning less than half its production cost in the domestic run.

Back in the EU morning! (PS: Is anyone else than Al & Krute watching this thread?)

New grab (where is everybody?), and a clue: Wikipedia lists ten music albums or songs with the same name as this movie, a name which also is a quote from the Immortal Bard.

Because, you know, Ray Bradbury was a "hot" author because he wrote "Farenheit 451", and he also wrote "Something Wicked...", and it's not your usual Disney movie..... and it was a flop.... and, like that....

To be honest, I can take credit only for "getting" the "hot author" clue. I was going through films with Shakespearean quotes in the title, and when I saw that this film was based on a Ray Bradbury book, "Farenheit 451" just popped into my head, and it was plain sailing from there.

It's bedtime for Bonzo here, so a new game tomorrow. Okay?

    Well done, in any case.

Looking forward to a new game tomorrow! This has almost become a duel*, wouldn't you say?

With an occasional shot by Al, Pro-H and Huey...

    A dual duel.

Give me a little while, I have to deliver those props to the theatre today, so I'll be busy for a while.
