Will Canon HV camcoder play XH A1 high definition tapes?
I have been using the Canon XH A1 camcoder for several years. I have large quantities of HDV tapes. Will the Canon HV 20/30/40 play back my collection of HDV (anamorphic) 1440 x 1080i (ntsc) tapes?
From time to time, I will need to re-capture my old HDV tapes to computer using Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 to do a re-edit. I have heard that it will play back SD tapes, but there is no sense in purchasing a Canon HV 20/30/40 if it will not play back the HD tapes, that I made on my Canon XH A1.
Thanks.

I do all my capturing with an HV20 and mainly shoot with the XH A1 and HV30 as second camera
