Frustration with Google and YouTube.

I find that searches twist my search parameters. I live in Thailand and often search YouTube for English nursery rhymes, cartoons, etc, and end up with horrible Indian and Tamil results. My country is set to the U.S. in my google/gmail account to give it the best chance of avoiding the Hindi and Tamil shite.

Here's google's best shot at matching a search for: 'guide to youtube 2012'. I was looking for a guide to learn how to use YouTube more effectively.

It is completely bogus. A Clubber's Guide? Runescape? WTF? Is google retarded? Or am I?

Any idea how to search YouTube U.S. only or U.K. only content? Do I search for channels based in those countries?

Nah, google's long been my bête noire. I remember listening to a chap speaking on radio who said he was trying to develop, or encourage, or write search engine software that understood more closely our natural use of language. He was probably subject to an extraordinary rendition.

Anyway, I'll take a look at your suggestions (although the NCR I've been using for ages). YouTube is the biggest PITA. Its filters are medieval, cheers.
